Jillian James is a Board-Certified Civil Trial attorney with over 20 years of experience in litigation. Ms. James attended the University of South Florida, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science. She went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law.
Ms. James started her legal career as a Prosecutor at the Sixth Judicial Circuit, prosecuting numerous criminal trials and protecting the citizens of Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Over the past 15 years, Ms. James has worked for two Fortune 500 insurance companies, litigating personal injury claims through Trial. Through this experience, Ms. James gained extensive knowledge of how insurance companies operate and evaluate claims, providing an invaluable advantage in assisting persons who are injured.
Ms. James had several cases with Maryann over the last few years and was always impressed by her medical knowledge, her willingness to take cases to Trial if needed, and her all-around dedication to her clients and helping the injured. Ms. James ultimately realized that her real passion was working to help the injured and those in need. In 2025, she joined the Nurse Lawyer, P.A. to help injured clients seek justice and obtain the compensation they deserve.
In her spare time, you will find her watching her two sons play baseball, spending time with her husband (who is a Hillsborough County firefighter), and playing with her boxer dog, Wrigley.
